Soft Tissue Ridge Augmentation

Over a period of time, the jaw bone associated with missing teeth atrophies or is reabsorbed. This often leaves a condition in which there is poor quality and quantity of bone and gum tissue suitable for placement of an attractive bridge or dental implants. In these situations, sometimes augmenting the available gum tissue can be an excellent cosmetic option.

Soft tissue ridge augmentation can be performed to “bulk up” the gum tissue to prevent a sunken-in appearance of the tissue around a bridge or dental implant.   The result is a more cosmetic appearance that allows for a natural looking and stable result.
