New Patients

What To Do Before My First Visit?

Please assist us for your initial visit to the office by providing the following information:

Please notify the office if you have a medical condition or concern (e.g. artificial heart valves or joints, a heart murmur requiring pre-medication, severe diabetes or hypertension) or any allergies.  All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation appointment.

What Will We Do At My First Visit?

For the courtesy of our other patients, please try to arrive to your first visit 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time so that any paperwork or administrative questions can be addressed at that time.  We want to give you the maximum time to evaluate you and answer any questions you may have regarding treatment.

We will ensure that we have received the referral and relevant x-rays from your dentist prior to your appointment, however our doctors may require new x-rays in order to diagnose your treatment. We will complete an in-depth medical and dental health history and a thorough examination to measure:

  • Your teeth
  • Your plaque
  • Your gums
  • Your bite
  • Your bone structure
  • Your risk factors

New patient examinations take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the complexity and treatment options that are available.  We will try to formulate a treatment plan the day of your visit.  In the event of a complex case that requires extensive planning and options, we may request that you return for a treatment planning appointment so that we can have time to develop and review your options in a concise, organized manner.

We Look Forward To Meeting and Helping You!
